CORE
BUSINESS ACTIVITIES
Our
main business activity is in the tourism transport
sector. We provide organised day tours and tour packages
for groups and individuals. This includes special
interest groups and corporate clients.
All
our tours are carried out under the watchful eye of
a Theta registered tour guide.
We
also offer transfers from the airport to hotel, and
from hotel to hotel. Some transfers are between hotels
and conference venues.
We
have a program in which we afford the youth an opportunity
to participate in the tourism industry as Tour Guides
by facilitating training with assistance by Tourism
Enterprise Programme
TARGET
MARKET
Our
target groups are made up of the following:
- Individuals:
e.g. transfers from airport to hotels, hotel to airport, hotel to hotel, hotel
to conference and any other venues including attractions.
- Groups
e.g. churches, learning organizations, clubs, corporates
and schools are welcome to use our coach hire services.
- All
the groups mentioned above include children and adults.
COMPANY
INFRASTRUCTURE AND RESOURCES
The
company has luxury busses (Mercedes Benz Sprinters),
a 22 and 20- seater. We also have a Volkswagen 9-seater
microbus from our sister company.
The vehicles are fully air conditioned and very comfortable.
The drivers we employ are very experienced, and have
Professional driver's licenses.
We
always have two extra drivers on standby in case of
any emergency.
Our
directors are always on standby in case of any emergency,
available on mobile numbers and landlines.
SAFETY
AND SECURITY FOR PASSENGERS
All
our vehicles are kept in road - worthy condition for
the safety of our clients. We also arrange for on
board security personnel from a reputable registered
company if so requested or when a need arises.
STANDARD
OF SERVICE AND QUALITY OFFERED
We
provide luxury travel in air- conditioned busses with
passenger liability and general public liability of
R5 million each per vehicle. The North West Tourism
Board endorses our quality service. We are in the
process of acquiring SATSA (South African Tourism
Services Association) membership.
EXPERIENCE
IN TOURISM BUSINESS
The
company was registered in January 2001, with our sister
company we have successfully operated several ventures.
The
following are some of the projects we successfully carried
out:
- Provision
of Package Tours, Day Tours, Hotel to Airport, Hotel to Conference Transfers for local and overseas' tourists.
- Promotion
of tourism around Hartbeespoort and the surrounding
townships, including villages.
- Promotion
of picnicking around the above mentioned areas
- Provision
of Day Tours for WSSD (World Summit on Sustainable
Development) 2002 through Global Multi-choice
- Provision
of transport as a consortium for Pre- WSSD Conferences
in Rustenberg

Tours and its sister company, Thoriso Tours has had
dealings with the following clients: Mankwe Safaris,
Magalies Park Resort, Vodacom and Competition Board.
The guests attended to include South Africans and
internationals.
Lethakhu
Tours was awarded the Best Tourism SMME (Small Medium
& Micro Enterprise) for 2002 for the North
West Province and the Semi-Finalist for Eteya awards
2002.
The company is on the database for Tourism Enterprise
programme and the ITMAS scheme for the Department of
Environmental Affairs and Tourism. It is also a prospective
member of the Madibeng Tourism Association.
